Earth Is `Ohana

Seeking to heal social and environmental divides by finding connection to ourselves, each other, and the places where we live, Kailea Frederick founded Earth Is `Ohana, an immersive and hands-on educational framework and curriculum. ‘Ohana is the Hawaiian word for family and embodies the idea that all of us can become naturalized to the places we live and can access the joy of coming home. Drawing on spiritual ecology, earth systems science, and the humanities, Earth Is ‘Ohana courses explore the question: How do we practice returning home to our landscapes in order to regenerate our relationship with the earth?”
