Potlatch Fund aims to inspire and build upon the Native tradition of giving and to expand philanthropy within tribal nations and Native communities in the Northwest. They strive to accomplish this through their multi-pronged grant program, leadership training, and nonprofit capacity development, which serve tribal communities throughout Washington, Idaho, Oregon, and Montana. They say: “The Earth and its resources belong to us all. That’s why we are devoted to protecting the environment and developing and honoring Native leaders.”

Since 2002, Potlatch Fund has conducted over 275 training workshops; graduated 42 emerging leaders from an intensive training program in nonprofit management and leadership; distributed $2.5 million in grants; and honored 70 individuals and organizations for leadership and philanthropy.
