Dr. Claudia Ford

Dr. Claudia J. Ford is Professor and Chair of the Department of Environmental Studies at State University of New York, Potsdam, and is a Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the University at Buffalo and a Fellow of The Panel on Planetary Thinking at Justus Liebig University in Giessen, Germany.

Claudia’s upcoming book, “Grandmother Earth Wisdom: Ecology, Culture, Spirit” explores the African American experience in relation to climate and environmental emergencies, and holds up African American knowledge as a model for how we can solve the current environmental and social crises.
