Redbud Resource Group (Redbud) is an Indigenous women-led nonprofit based in Sonoma County, California working to improve the health and well-being of Indigenous communities. Through educational workshops and resources as well as trainings, research, and community partnerships, Redbud’s programs aim to increase collaboration between Indigenous communities and conservation organizations, improve access to ancestral lands for California Indigenous Tribes and communities, build the capacity of Indigenous communities to design and implement community-driven solutions, and shape a more equitable future for everyone. As Redbud describes, “To heal, Native people need access to land, culture, and resources. Our programs prepare Native and non-Native communities to strengthen Tribal sovereignty, share resources across cultures, and take collective action to solve many of our shared challenges with Indigenous knowledge at the forefront.”
Redbud Resource Group is improving public health outcomes for Native American communities through education, research, and community partnership.
